A leading retail business partnered with Achievers to migrate its on-premises CCTV video storage to AWS. The client was managing large volumes of surveillance footage from Hikvision cameras across multiple store locations, stored locally on NVR and VM servers — resulting in high maintenance overhead, limited scalability, and risk of data loss.

Achievers designed and deployed a cloud storage solution using AWS DataSync to securely transfer encrypted footage from on-premises servers to Amazon S3. A 3-tier S3 Lifecycle Policy was implemented to automatically transition data from S3 Standard to S3 Standard-IA and ultimately to S3 Glacier Deep Archive, optimizing storage costs over time. A web-based UI application was also developed to allow users to browse and stream footage directly from S3 Standard, as well as request on-demand retrieval of archived footage back to local storage.
